Admin Official Believes North Korea Could Launch Attack at Any Second

An official in the Obama administration believes North Korea has completed preparatory steps and is ready to launch at any second, according to CNN.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, the official said North Korea could fire from the mobile launchers it moved to its Eastern Coast with little to no warning.

He said he has formed this opinion from satellite imagery, but continues to hope against hope that North Korea will issue a warning before missiles are fired.

The official was joined by another anonymous Pentagon official in confirming the U.S. has “been able to keep satellites over the suspected launch area for most of the past week.” The administration believes that area is “half way down the eastern coast of North Korea and 10 miles inland.”

Right now, the U.S. is operating under the presumption that “the missiles have received their fuel and are ready for launch.”
