Kabul, November 27 (QNA) – At least 33 Taliban militants were killed in joint operations launched by Afghan security forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) during the past twenty-four hours in different regions of the country.
Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry said in a statement today that Afghan forces carried out with ISAF several joint operations in the country killing 33 Taliban militants, wounding two and arresting nine others.
The statement added that operations took place in Nangarhar, Nuristan, Kandahar, Zabul and Helmand provinces.
Large quantities of heavy and light weapons were seized during the operations.
However, the statement did not say if there were any casualties on the security forces. (QNA)
