Egyptian Embassy Staff Kidnapped in Libya

Cairo, January 25 (QNA) – Four members of staff at the Egyptian embassy in the Libyan capital Tripoli were kidnapped on Saturday, a day after another Egyptian diplomat was seized by gunmen, Egyptian officials confirmed.

The group includes the cultural attache at the embassy, as well as three other staff members, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Badr Abdel-Atti confirmed, adding that Cairo was contacting Libyan authorities in relation to the incident.

The news comes one day after the administrative attache at the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli was seized at his home by unidentified gunmen,dpa reported.(QNA)
