5,000 Hindus Flee Pakistan for India Each Year to Escape Religious Persecution

A member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) says “nearly 5,000 Hindus migrate from Pakistan to India every year.”

According to dnindia.com, PML-N’s Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani said “six incidents of religious desecration occurred within the last two months in Sindh.” He said the majority of these incidents involved “the burning of religious books of [the] Hindu minority in the province.”

Vankwani also said “influential people were forcefully converting religion of Hindu girls in Interior Sindh,” and he “urged the Nawaz government to take steps to counter” forced conversions.

He stressed that it is”the teaching of all the religions to respect other faiths,” yet Hindus had “failed to get equal rights in Pakistan.”
