Russian Chocolate Bar Showing 'Map of Russia 2015' Includes Ukraine and Alaska

Russian President Vladimir Putin said he will respect Ukraine’s presidential election and work with the new president, but there is an interesting chocolate bar for sale in Russia.

Produced by a Russian company called Shokobox, it shows Russia in 2015, and the country is a lot bigger. Labeled as “new territory” is Crimea while “promising” territories are Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Scandinavia, Belarus, Central Asia… and Alaska.

Putin, an ex-KGB, said the collapse of the Soviet Union was the greatest political tragedy of the 20th century. He invaded Georgia in 2008 and annexed Crimea from Ukraine in March. Latvia and Estonia, NATO and European Union members, fear they might be Putin’s next targets after Russian diplomats expressed concern over the treatment of Russian speakers and ethnic Russians in those countries. Putin passed a law that allows Russia to protect Russian speakers in other countries and eased citizenship laws for Russians abroad.
