The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) reportedly boiled alive seven of its own jihadists Monday as punishment for deserting an Iraqi battlefield.
“The terrorists ran away from a conflict in Sharqat in the Salahuddin province and were killed by order of Islamic State on Monday,” reports the Daily Mail.
Unnamed local sources reportedly revealed that “before being thrown into a giant cauldron of boiling water, the seven absconders had their hands and feet bound tightly making absolutely sure of no escape.”
An anonymous informant in Fallujah, which was one of two major ISIS strongholds in Iraq until it was recently liberated, told the American Herald Tribune that the jihadist group had executed 19 of its own fighters last month for fleeing battles.
“The ISIS terrorists executed 19 of its elements who fled from the latest battles against the security forces in the neighborhoods of al-Shuhada and al-Nassaf in Central Fallujah,” declared the source, adding, “This came after the issuance of death sentence against them by ISIL court.”
The source noted that the execution was carried out by firing a bullet into the head the 19 absconders, various news outlets report, citing Fars News Agency (FNA).
According to the Daily Mail, the use of boiling water to carry out executions is not an unprecedented tactic employed by ISIS.
The U.K.-based news outlet notes:
In a Mail Online exclusive, a Yazidi teenager, who was just 17 when she talked last year, revealed how every day of her nine-month ordeal was “like choosing between death and death” as she was faced with beatings and sexual assaults by the ISIS militant and his team of “bodyguards”.
The teenager told how she was gang-raped, whipped and even scalded on the thigh with boiling hot water if she didn’t keep with her ISIS rapist’s depraved sexual demands.
ISIS kidnapped the teenager and other girls, including her 10-year-old sister, last August when they overran the Yazidi-majority Iraqi town of Sinjar in the Nineveh province after sweeping through the area, pushing thousands of Yazidis into the mountains to escape the savage jihadists.
After ISIS terrorists moved her and the other captive girls to their de-facto capital of Raqqa in Syria, she was sold to a man who also bought her sister and another child. They continued to be repeatedly raped.
“They forced me to say things from the Quran during the time they did their actions, and if I didn’t they whipped me,” said the Yazidi girl, who is among thousands who have been sold as sex slaves by ISIS.
