14 ‘terrorism’ suspects killed in Mali escape attempt: army

Bamako (AFP) – Fourteen suspected jihadists were killed on Friday during an “alleged escape attempt”, the Malian amy said in a statement.

“Following an alleged escape attempt, 14 terrorism suspects died on April 6 at Dioura,” the statement said, adding that the suspects had been taken in for questioning on Thursday before being handed over to soldiers.
