3 dead in shooting at Swedish Internet cafe

June 19 (UPI) — Three people were killed and three others were wounded in a shooting at an Internet cafe in Malmo, Sweden, authorities said Monday.

The gunman opened fire Monday night and shot off at least 15 rounds before escaping from the scene, police said.

Police spokeswoman Maya Forstenius said investigators are looking for a dark vehicle.

Three men died in the shooting, one of whom was known to police. Officials said the crime appears to be linked to organized or gang crime, not terrorism.

“We are treating this as an isolated event that is confined to these injured persons,” Forstenius said.

The names of the victims were not released.
