1. FIRINGS FOLLOW BLACK MAN’S DEATH Four Minneapolis officers involved in the arrest of a black man who died in police custody have been fired, hours after a bystander’s video provoked widespread outrage with footage that showed the man pleading that he could not breathe as a white officer knelt on his neck.

2. TWITTER REPROACHES TRUMP For the first time, the social network has flagged some of the president’s tweets with a fact-check warning. The move comes after years in which Twitter has declined to apply its community guidelines and other rules of the road to the 45th U.S. president.

2. COUNTDOWN FOR HISTORIC LAUNCH SpaceX is on the cusp of becoming the first private company to put astronauts in orbit, something achieved by just three countries — Russia, the U.S. and China.
