NEW YORK (AP) — Conor McGregor and his hotheaded posse were banned from UFC 223 in Brooklyn after his antics during a chaotic fight week led to three fights on the card getting scrapped.

But his agent, Audie Attar, said on Twitter Saturday night as the crumbled card began that the former two-division champ “looks forward to getting back to fighting as soon as possible.”

The comment comes after MMA’s biggest star crashed the New York party this week, chucking a hand cart and a guard rail at a bus carrying several fighters on Thursday and hurting two seriously enough that they had to be pulled from their bouts. A teammate of McGregor’s, Artem Lobov, was pulled by UFC from his featherweight bout for taking part in the scuffle in the bowels of Barclays Center.

The lightened pay-per-view includes Rose Namajunas defending her 115-pound strawweight title against Joanna Jedrzejczyk, plus budding Russian star Khabib Nurmagomedov fighting for the lightweight belt against replacement opponent Al Iaquinta.
