Alligator stops traffic to cross busy Florida street

May 2 (UPI) — An alligator caught drivers and pedestrians by surprise in Florida when it stopped traffic to walk across a street.

A video recorded near the Daggerwing Nature Center in Boca Raton shows the big gator strolling across the wide road while vehicles wait for it to pass.

The filmer said the alligator was crossing directly in front of the Berkeley of Boca community, near the nature center.

“That’s a big one,” the filmer says in the footage.
