Alligator visits CVS, Speedway gas station in Florida

June 26 (UPI) — A Florida sheriff’s office played taxi service for a wayward alligator that needed a ride home after wandering around a CVS drug store and a Speedway station.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post that deputies responded to a report of an alligator wandering around the parking lots of a CVS and a Speedway in Brandon.

A video accompanying the post shows the alligator climbing down from the back seat of a sheriff’s office patrol cruiser and walking to a nearby lake.

“This Florida native decided to take a trip to CVS and then a Speedway Gas Station in Brandon before Deputies Lehman, Fluellen and Grikenas along with Master Sergeant Massaro gave him a ride home,” the post said.
