June 18 (UPI) — Bachelor in Paradise stars Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon are engaged.
Us Weekly confirmed Monday that Iaconetti, 30, said “yes” to Haibon, 29, while filming Season 5 of the ABC dating show in Mexico.
Haibon popped the question during a stroll on the beach, according to People. Iaconetti reacted by clutching her hands to her chest and throwing her head back in excitement.
Iaconetti and Haibon confirmed their relationship in May. The couple first met during Bachelor in Paradise Season 2, and reconnected after their respective appearances on Bachelor Winter Games and Bachelor in Paradise Australia.
“I never felt like it was over between us after Paradise,” Haibon during an episode of Iaconetti’s The Story of Us web series in May. “It was a slow build for me.”
“He tells me every day that he’s the luckiest man alive,” Iaconetti gushed.
Iaconetti shared a cute photo on Instagram with Haibon last week.
“I’m sure exploring Europe is great, but have you ever snuggled on the coach while watching Jersey Shore?” she captioned the post.
Bachelor in Paradise Season 5 will premiere in the summer.
