At least four dead as blasts, gunfire rock Afghan city: officials

Jalalabad (Afghanistan) (AFP) – At least four people have been killed in a continuing bomb and gun attack on a government building in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad, officials said Sunday.

There were two explosions near the city’s directorate of finance, Nangarhar provincial governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told AFP, adding that “a number of attackers” had entered the building and were fighting security forces.

Health department officials said four bodies and some 20 wounded people had been brought to hospitals so far.
