Brasília (AFP) – Brazil’s lower house of Congress opened debate Friday on impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff, ahead of a Sunday vote on whether or not to pursue the process.

Hours earlier the Supreme Court rejected a bid by Rousseff to have the impeachment proceedings suspended.
