Feb. 14 (UPI) — South Korean boy band BTS is wishing its fans a happy Lunar New Year.

The K-pop group shared their hopes for health and happiness in celebratory posts Tuesday in anticipation of the Year of the Dog.

“Happy New Year 2018,” the singers captioned a group photo on Facebook. The picture shows the members of BTS wearing their hanbok, or traditional Korean clothing.

Lunar New Year celebrates the turn of the traditional Chinese calendar, and begins Friday, Feb. 16, in 2018. The Chinese zodiac assigns animals to each year in a repeating 12-year cycle.

“I hope our members will have a healthy body and state of mind this year,” RM said, according to The Korea Herald. “I also want to achieve our goal to hold a world stadium tour this year.”

“Our goal for this year is to enter Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and personally, I want to collaborate with other artists or release my own music,” Suga added. “And lastly, I hope for peace to arrive in this world.”

BTS is poised to have a big year following the success of its most recent EP, Love Yourself: Her, in 2017. Members of the American boy band Backstreet Boys are among the K-pop group’s international fans.

“We are huge fans of BTS, we love them,” Nick Carter said in a Twitter video this month. “We want to actually invite the guys to our show in [Las] Vegas, if you guys want to come. So BTS all the way, baby!”
