Ottawa (AFP) – Canadian senators on Thursday passed a law legalizing the recreational use of marijuana with 52 votes for, 30 against and one abstention.
The measure, which was amended by the senators, will now return to the House of Commons, which passed the bill in November but needs to sign off on Senate changes.
