Dec. 7 (UPI) — Candace Cameron Bure was hospitalized after injuring herself in a go-kart race.

The 42-year-old actress ended up in the emergency room Thursday following an outing with her siblings, brother Kirk Cameron and sisters Melissa and Bridgette Cameron.

“Went go-karting with my brother and two sisters. I’ve been released now, but was in the ER,” she said in a video on Instagram Stories. “My brother ran me over.”

The Fuller House star also shared clips from her time in the hospital. The videos show Bure lying in her hospital bed with a bruised and bloody hand.

“They got my rings off and that was one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced,” she said. “I’m fine, though, clearly. I’m taking a video, so it’s not that bad.”

Bure’s X-rays came back clear and she left with a bruised hand and shoulder. She shared a photo of her rings that were warped in the collision.

“Those used to be perfectly round rings until they caught the underside of the go-kart as it drove on top of me,” the actress wrote. “Getting them off was excruciating. But I’m grateful the ER paramedic was able to do it without cutting them off.”

Bure plays D.J. Tanner on Fuller House, which will return for a fourth season Dec. 14 on Netflix. She denied in an interview with E! News in October that the show will end after Season 4.

“I think that everyone’s going to love Season 4 and I have no doubt we’re going to be back for Season 5,” the star said.
