Cardi B confirms she’s expecting a baby girl

May 10 (UPI) — Pregnant rapper Cardi B is indeed expecting a baby girl.

The 25-year-old recording artist confirmed on Wednesday’s episode of The Howard Stern Show that she’s having a daughter with her boyfriend, Migos rapper Offset.

“I’m having a girl,” she told host Howard Stern.

The “Drip” rapper said Offset has picked a name for their unborn child, but declined to share further details.

“I didn’t pick the name but if you interview my dude, he’ll tell you,” she said.

Cardi B repeatedly referred to her unborn baby as “she” while speaking to the New York Times ahead of the Met Gala on Monday.

“Shorty weighs three and a half pounds,” she said. “She do. She do weigh three and a half pounds. That’s pretty good for seven months, right? Because I was born five pounds.”

Cardi B announced her pregnancy on Saturday Night Live in April. She said in an interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show the same month that Offset had picked a somewhat “tricky” name for their unborn child.

“It’s almost tricky, but when it comes out, it’s like, ahhh,” the star said.
