Curious baby deer climbs into California police car

May 8 (UPI) — Police in California shared video of a baby deer that climbed into a patrol car and got itself temporarily “stuck” behind the driver’s seat.

The Marin County Sheriff’s Office tweeted a video showing the baby deer exploring behind the driver’s seat of a patrol car after police stopped to offer the small animal some assistance.

“When a baby deer is in the roadway and decides to check out your patrol car before being reunited with its mother, it looks [like] this,” the sheriff’s office tweeted.

The video shows officers trying to coax the fawn out from behind the driver’s seat of the car.

“This is what happens when tiny little baby deers get stuck behind your patrol car seat,” the officer recording the video says.

The deer eventually comes out on its own.
