May 1 (UPI) — Racing legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy revealed the name of their newborn baby girl on Tuesday morning.

Isla Rose Earnhardt was born April 30, a day after Dale Earnhardt Sr. would have turned 67 years old. The Earnhardts announced they were expecting a baby in September. The couple began dating in 2009 and married on New Years Eve in 2017.

“She’s finally here! @DaleJr and I are officially parents to a beautiful baby girl, Isla Rose Earnhardt,” Amy Earnhardt tweeted. “It feels like a dream. The best dream ever.”

Dale Jr. retired from NASCAR in 2017, following a notorious 18-year career in the sport.

“Everyone was right,” Dale Jr. tweeted Tuesday. “It’s a new beginning. Now everything I do will be for her and Amy. So blessed.”

The Earnhardts will appear in the series Renovation Realities: Dale Jr. and Amy. The series premieres at 9 p.m. on June 2 at DIY Network.

Dale Jr., 43, won NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver Award 15 consecutive times, including his last year competing in the sport.

NASCAR stars Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano, Kenny Wallace, Elliott Sadler, Regan Smith, Kyle Busch and others congratulated the new parents with a video on Dirty Mo Media, a Twitter account owned and operated by Dale Jr.

“Thanks everyone who was part of this,” Dale Jr. tweeted in a reply to the video. “This made our hearts completely full.”
