WASHINGTON, April 14 (UPI) — Demi Lovato will cover Gloria Gaynor’s classic hit “I Will Survive” for the Sony’s upcoming animated film, The Angry Birds Movie.
The singer teased her rendition of the song in a 60-second clip on Instagram Thursday morning featuring some of the movies animated characters.
“Just for my lovatics, here’s a sneak peek of my cover of ‘I will Survive’ from #AngryBirdsMovie!!” Lovato wrote in the post’s caption.
This week also marked the release of the latest trailer for the upcoming 3D film, which shows the flightless birds’ colorful community being terrorized by mysterious green pigs.
Jason Sudeikis will voice the movie’s lead character, a misfit named Red. Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage and Keegan-Michael Key also lend their voices to the film.
In addition to music from Demi Lovato, the movie will also include new songs from The Voice coach Blake Shelton, Charli XCX, Matoma, Steve Aoki and others.
