June 12 (UPI) — Nintendo lifted the curtain on a number of titles during its annual E3 presentation Tuesday.
The company kept with its tradition of live-streaming a pre-recorded video presentation known as Nintendo Direct instead of hosting a more traditional press conference.
Nintendo showcased Super Mario Party, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu, Pokemon: Let’s Go Evee and other games for its Nintendo Switch console, which debuted in March 2017.
Super Mario Party is set for release Oct. 5. The game is the first main installment in the Mario Party series since Mario Party 10 (2015), and the first to come to the Switch.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will arrive Dec. 7. The game will feature over 60 fighters, including all DLC characters from Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS. Ridley from Metroid is among the playable characters.
Pokemon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon: Lets Go Evee are set for release Nov. 16. The games, which take place in the Kano region and feature all 151 original Pokemon, were announced for the first time in May.
Nintendo showed off other titles, including the new game Daemon X Machina and Fortnite for the Switch. The company will demo a number of games as part of its live-streamed Nintendo Treehouse series following Nintendo Direct.
