Brussels (AFP) – The European Union is to impose a 4.3 billion euro ($5 billion) fine on Google on Wednesday for abusing the dominant market position of its Android smartphone system, a source close to the matter told AFP.
EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager is set to announce the fine when she gives a press conference at 1100 GMT in Brussels, the source said on condition of anonymity.
