Fewer than 3,000 ‘yellow vest’ protesters at Paris demo: officials

Paris (AFP) – Fewer than 3,000 “yellow vest” demonstrators turned up in Paris for what was the fifth consecutive Saturday of mass anti-government protests, the city’s police said.

By 1300 GMT, police had made 95 arrests, with 63 people held for questioning, a significantly lower number of detentions compared to last weekend.
