French police detain man suspected of trying to ram soldiers: security source

Paris (AFP) – Police have detained a man suspected of trying to ram his car into a group of soldiers jogging near their barracks in southeast France on Thursday, a security source told AFP.

The National Police said on Twitter that an individual had been taken into custody after an operation at a market square in Grenoble, near the town of Varces-Allieres-et-Risset where the attempted attack occurred.
