Funko announces new ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Pop! figures

June 19 (UPI) — Funko has announced a new line of Pop! figures based on Star Wars animated series, The Clone Wars.

The lineup will include Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, his Padawan Ahsoka Tano, General Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Grand Master Yoda.

Hot Topic retail stores will also feature an exclusive version of Ahsoka Tano that features the character in a different outfit and pose.

The Clone Wars set will be available in August. “The Force is strong with this wave,” Funko said.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars ran for five seasons on Cartoon Network starting in 2008 before a sixth season appeared on Netflix in 2014. The fan-favorite series lasted for 121 episodes and took place between films Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

In April, Disney and Lucasfilm animation announced a new animated Star Wars series titled Resistance that will air on Disney Channel in the fall. The new project hails from Dave Filoni who helped create The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

Funko also recently announced a line of Pop! figures based on 1987 cult class film, The Lost Boys.
