Niamey (AFP) – A German aid worker was on Wednesday kidnapped by armed men from a region close to the border with Mali prone to jihadist attacks, an official said.
“There was a kidnapping of a German national around 30 kilometres (18 miles) from Ayorou as he returned from a visit to the north of the area,” the official told AFP by telephone.
