German minister gives Merkel two-week ultimatum on migrants: media

Berlin (AFP) – Germany’s interior minister Monday gave Chancellor Angela Merkel two weeks to find a European solution to end an influx of asylum seekers, otherwise he will order border police to turn back migrants, the DPA news agency said.

Horst Seehofer’s CSU party  unanimously backed the minister’s call to give Merkel time to find a deal by a June 28-29 EU summit, a challenge which the German leader accepted, said the national agency, citing party sources.
