‘Gilmore Girls’ star Sean Gunn is engaged

June 19 (UPI) — Gilmore Girls star Sean Gunn is engaged to be married.

The 44-year-old actor said in an Instagram post Monday that he proposed to actress Natasha Halevi.

Gunn shared a photo with Halevi that included a glimpse of her engagement ring. Gunn popped the question at Suiran hotel in Kyoto, Japan.

“I asked @tashalitas to marry me and she said yes. Or to be more precise she said, ‘a million times,’” the star captioned the post.

Halevi, an actress known for the Troma film B.C. Butcher, confirmed the news on her own account.

“Wrote a long thing, but, instead… WE’RE ENGAGED YOU GUYS!” she wrote.

Gunn, the younger brother of director James Gunn, is known for playing Kirk Gleason on Gilmore Girls and Kraglin in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. He said after the Gilmore Girls revival aired in 2016 that he’s open to more episodes.

“I do believe that the idea that we could go back and shoot more in the future certainly seems possible,” the star told Yahoo!. “My gut is, let’s see how these go and then we’ll talk about it.”

“I think that we all enjoy doing it,” he added. “I would like to think that Kirk isn’t gone forever, but you never know.”
