WASHINGTON, April 14 (UPI) — Gwyneth Paltrow was aware of friend Beyonce’s surprise self-titled album before anyone else, thanks to exclusive sneak peaks into the project.

While speaking to host John Benjamin Hickey on his Sirius XM talk show My Favorite Song, the It’s All Easy author revealed Beyonce showed her exclusive clips and let her listen to songs before the secret album was released.

“She played me the video for this song, so she played me a bunch of videos before the album dropped,” Paltrow said of her favorite Bey song, “Drunk In Love.”

“I had been with her a lot when she was working on it. I knew the general plan of what she was going to do. I knew there was going to be a surprise,” she added.

Beyonce released her surprise visual album in December of 2013 complete with music videos to each of the 14 tracks.

Paltrow is currently promoting her latest cookbook It’s All Easy, recently revealing on her website Goop she’s “harder on myself than anybody else could ever be.” The health-food maven also confessed her love for French fries and martinis despite their unhealthy attributes during the interview.
