March 6 (UPI) — Henry Cavill proved he’s very much alive in a selfie Monday following reports of his death.
The 34-year-old British actor assured fans with a photo on Instagram after a Google search showed his date of death as March 3.
The post features a picture of Cavill furrowing his eyebrows alongside a screenshot of the erroneous report. The search result shows his Wikipedia page and the false factoid “Died: 3 March 2018.”
“When you learn that you died 2 days ago….” Cavill captioned the post, which had received over 889,000 likes as of Tuesday morning.
Fans expressed relief and joked about the incident in the comments.
“Whoa?! I went to your page to find out if it’s true actually… lol @FakestOfTheFakeNews,” one person wrote.
“Looking pretty good for a dead guy… must be the god like powers from playing superman,” another person said.
Cavill plays Clark Kent, aka Superman, in the DC Comics cinematic universe. He will reprise the character in an untitled solo movie and the Justice League sequel Justice League Part Two.
