Italy refuses to accept stranded rescue ship Lifeline: Salvini

Rome (AFP) – The Lifeline rescue ship currently stranded in Maltese waters with more than 200 migrants on board will not be allowed to dock in Italy, the country’s far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini said Monday.

The vessel, which belongs to German NGO Lifeline, is moored about 30 nautical miles off Malta with 234 migrants who were rescued on Wednesday.
