Jordin Sparks gives birth to first child, a son

May 6 (UPI) — Singer Jordin Sparks confirmed on Instagram she has given birth to her first child, a son.

“He’s here & we couldn’t be more in love!!! Go DJ!” the 28-year-old star captioned a People magazine photo of her newborn, who is wearing a hat that said “DJ,” while snoozing in his car-seat.

The American Idol alum attended the premiere of her movie Show Dogs in Hollywood on Saturday night, just three days after giving birth to Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr.

Sparks, who married Dana Isaiah last July, announced her pregnancy in November.
