June 22 (UPI) — Snowden and The Dark Knight Rises star Joseph Gordon-Levitt will preside over the Comedy Central roast of Bruce Willis, which is to be taped at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles July 14.

The show is slated to air on the cable network July 29. The celebrities who will take turns mocking Willis are expected to be named later.

A teaser Thursday shows Willis engaged in an insult smackdown with comedian Jeffrey Ross, a Comedy Central roast fixture.

Gordon-Levitt and Willis co-starred in the 2012 sci-fi movie Looper.

“I’ve looked up to Bruce my whole life. I was genuinely honored to work alongside him and, in essence, PLAY him when we made Looper together,” Gordon-Levitt, 37, said in a statement. “He has treated me with absolutely nothing but warmth and kindness. And, so, I look forward to mercilessly making fun of him on TV.”

Willis, 63, is known for his performances in the Die Hard and Look Who’s Talking film franchises, as well as the TV show Moonlighting. His other big-screen credits include Pulp Fiction, Death Becomes Her, 12 Monkeys, The Sixth Sense and Armageddon.

Subjects of previous Comedy Central roasts include Rob Lowe, Justin Bieber, James Franco, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump and William Shatner.
