Macron: G7 trade statement ‘does not solve everything’

La Malbaie (Canada) (AFP) – France’s President Emmanuel Macron said Saturday the G7 leaders meeting in Quebec had agreed a joint statement on trade, despite the rift between US President Donald Trump and his partners.

“This stage was an important stage but nevertheless it’s only a stage and it does not resolve everything, and so we plan to continue our work in the coming months,” he said.
