Madonna moves to Portugal, says she is working on new film and music

Sept. 3 (UPI) — American pop music icon Madonna announced via Instagram she has moved to Europe to work on various projects.

“The energy of Portugal is so inspiring. I feel very creative and alive here and I look forward to working on my film LOVED and making New Music!!!” the 59-year-old entertainer wrote in a post Saturday. “This will be the next Chapter in My Book! It’s time to conquer the world from a different vantage point.”

The “Like a Virgin” and “Vogue” singer — who has acted in the movies Desperately Seeking Susan, A League of Their Own and Evita — has six children ages 4 to 20. She has also helmed the films WE and Filth and Wisdom.
