Maryland woman wins second $50,000 lottery prize in three months

Feb. 19 (UPI) — A Maryland woman credited her intuition with earning her a second $50,000 Bonus Match 5 lottery prize in just three months.

The Middle River woman told Maryland Lottery officials she occasionally gets a strong feeling about a set of numbers and will buy lottery tickets bearing those digits.

She followed that intuition in buying her ticket for the Feb. 15 Bonus Match 5 drawing at the Compass Beer Pump at 3 Compass Road in Middle River.

“I see things a lot of folks can’t see,” she said.

The ticket turned out to be a $50,000 winner — her second such prize in three months. She previously collected $50,000 from a Bonus Match 5 drawing in December.

The winner, who said her previous prize went toward paying down her mortgage and helping her adult children, said she plans to continue playing the lottery.
