May says will unveil new Irish border plan ‘shortly’

Salzburg (Austria) (AFP) – Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May said Thursday she would bring forward new ideas on how to handle trade over the Northern Irish border, after EU leaders rejected her Brexit plan.

After two days of talks in Salzburg, May said a new proposition for Ireland would come “shortly” and that London was working towards negotiating a full exit strategy in time for an October 18 summit.
