May’s Brexit proposals ‘not acceptable’: Macron

Salzburg (Austria) (AFP) – French President Emmanuel Macron said Thursday that British Prime Minister Theresa May’s proposals for post-Brexit economic ties were “not acceptable” because they fail to respect the single market.

“We are today at the hour of truth,” Macron told a press conference after an EU summit, saying the bloc’s remaining 27 leaders expected “new British proposals in October.”
