June 8 (UPI) — The New York Mets recently added some Hollywood lineage, picking up Tommy Wilson in the MLB Draft.

Wilson — a pitcher for Cal State Fullerton — is the son of Thomas Wilson. The elder Wilson played Biff Tannen in the Back to the Future movie series.

The resemblance is uncanny.

The new Mets prospect was the 560th pick in the draft. He posted a 6-0 record with a 2.83 ERA and 78 strikeouts in 12 starts this season.

“Congratulations to my son Tommy, drafted by the New York Mets! This is a recent photo, because I swear I took it yesterday,” Wilson posted on Twitter with a photo of his son in Little League.

The Mets selected outfielder Jarred Kelenic out of Waukesha West High School with the No. 6 overall pick to start the 2018 MLB Draft. Wilson went in the 19th round. The Mets added East Central Community College prospect Brooks Warren in the 20th round, with the No. 590 overall selection.

The Detroit Tigers took Auburn pitcher Casey Mize with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Georgia Tech’s Joey Bart, Wichita State’s Alex Bohm, Oregon State’s Nick Madrigal and Florida’s Jonathan India rounded out the top five picks in the draft.
