May 8 (UPI) — NBC has renewed its crime drama-comedy series Good Girls, which stars Christina Hendricks, Retta and Mae Whitman, for a second season.

Good Girls, from The Family creator Jenna Bans, follows a trio of suburban moms who rob a grocery store to help make ends meet. The

Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett, Izzy Stannard and Matthew Lillard also star in the series.

The series, which wrapped up its 10-episode first season in April on a cliffhanger, averaged 6.1 million viewers, Deadline reported.

“I always feel like I might as well leave everything on the field creatively speaking, and end a season the way it should be ended, regardless of scheduling decisions,” Bans said about the cliffhanger season finale to TVLine. “People will for sure want to know what happens next.”

The official Twitter account of Good Girls released an image of Hendricks, Retta and Whitman wearing hoodies and sunglasses to celebrate the renewal. “There’s more to their story,” the post said.
