New Hampshire woman finds baby squirrel nest in car engine

PORTSMOUTH, N.H., April 13 (UPI) — Animal control officers in New Hampshire rescued a nest full of baby squirrels after a local woman discovered them under the hood of her car.

Portsmouth police department shared photos of the nest made up of leaves as well as one of the baby squirrels.

“As you can see, it was quite a nest!” Portsmouth police wrote on Facebook.

Animal Control Officer, Bonnie Robinson, responded to the call and took the animals to the Wildlife Center to receive care.

The Portsmouth police department commended Robinson and other Animal Control Officers for their work after the rescue.

“This week is ACO Appreciation Week and the PPD certainly appreciates the work she does for our community every day!” They wrote.
