‘Ocean’s 8’ tops the North American box office with $41.5M

June 10 (UPI) — The female-powered caper comedy Ocean’s 8 is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $41.5 million in receipts during its opening weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Solo: A Star Wars Story with $15.2 million, followed by Deadpool 2 at No. 3 with $13.7 million, Hereditary at No. 4 with $13 million and Avengers: Infinity War at No. 5 with $6.8 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Adrift at No. 6 with $5 million, Book Club at No. 7 with $4.2 million, Hotel Artemis at No. 8 with $3.2 million, Upgrade at No. 9 with $2.2 million and Life of the Party at No. 10 with $2.1 million.
