June 11 (UPI) — Robbie Williams announced on Twitter Monday that he will sing at the FIFA World Cup. The singer will perform at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Thursday morning before the opening game between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
He tweeted, “Very excited to be returning to Russia to perform at the opening of the @FIFAWorldCup – tune in early on Thursday for an unforgettable show! #WorldCup”
The British singer, formerly of the band Take That, will perform with Russian soprano Aida Garifullina.
