May 3 (UPI) — Taron Egerton is the new Robin of Loxley who stole from the rich and gave to the poor in the first teaser trailer for Robin Hood.
The clip, released Thursday, also stars Jamie Foxx as Robin Hood’s friend and partner Little John as the duo help mount a revolt against a corrupt English crown.
Egerton is seen in the trailer taking out enemies in slow motion with his bow and arrow as townspeople gather in the streets to fight back against their oppressors.
Eve Hewson appears as Robin Hood’s love interest Maid Marion. Ben Mendelsohn plays the villainous Sheriff of Nottingham.
Robin Hood, from director Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders, Black Mirror), is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Nov. 21.
