Snake shows off high wire skills at Australian vineyard

Feb. 14 (UPI) — An Australian vineyard shared video of a talented tiger snake showing off some circus-ready skills by slithering across a thin wire fence.

The Bangor Vineyard Shed in Dunalley, Tasmania, posted a video to Facebook showing a venomous tiger snake making its way along a thin wire fence on the grounds.

The snake, despite being thicker than the wire, is able to balance as it moves along the fence.

“We see them quite often on the farm, and it is wonderful to have them around,” the vineyard said in a comment under the post.

“But I’ve never seen one climbing anything, let alone along the top of a wire fence! It was definitely a fascinating thing to see — what great poise and balance. After I took the video he continued on his merry way, and I guess he climbed back down to the ground when he’d had enough up there. Oh, and for those a bit concerned about having to share their next glass of wine, or wedding, with him — don’t worry, this is right down the other end of the farm.”
