Spain’s new PM unveils pro-EU government dominated by women

Madrid (AFP) – Spain’s Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Wednesday unveiled a new pro-EU government dominated by women, with 11 female and six male ministers.

The new executive composed by the 46-year-old, who ousted conservative veteran Mariano Rajoy last Friday in a no-confidence vote, includes an astronaut as science minister, EU budget manager Nadia Calvino as economy minister and former European parliament president Josep Borrell as foreign minister.
