Spanish, Danish rescuers cleared of human trafficking

Mytilene (Greece) (AFP) – A Greek court on Monday cleared three Spaniards and two Danes of trying to help illegal migrants enter Greece through the island of Lesbos while taking part in Aegean rescue missions.

The Spanish firefighters and Danish volunteers had enjoyed massive support from aid groups. “A great victory for humanitarian aid,” Spanish group Promeaid tweeted after the ruling.
