Stray dog goes on shoplifting spree at Turkish mall

Nov. 19 (UPI) — A canine shoplifter was caught on camera at a Turkish shopping mall stealing from at least three businesses.

The security cameras at the Viaport Shopping Center in Istanbul recorded the dog making off with a white T-shirt from a store inside the mall.

Another camera captured the dog taking a pink sweater from a store where a man attempted unsuccessfully to wrest the garment from the canine thief’s jaws.

The dog was also recorded taking a shawl from a mall cafeteria.

Mall officials said management covered the cost of the stolen items. They said a pack of stray dogs are known to live nearby, but they are friendly and don’t normally cause problems.
